so you'd have to get as many licenses as you have channels of wireless. Price reduced: From 325 to 275 Package: Sennheiser EW 100 G2, or also known as SK 100 G2 - Frequency Range - 518-554 MHz (A) +1x Bodypack Transmitter +2x Receivers +1x Lapel Microphone All work great. I sent an e-mail to sennheiser but in the meantime, does anyone know if Sennheiser will be a. Getting a license is costly and ineffective, only works for one frequency. I snagged up a working Sennheiser ew100 G2 reciever from my work, although its frequency band is 740 - 776 MHz, which is worrysome due to the problem of the 700 MHz band becoming reallocated in February. You wouldn't be able to aquire a license in the 700 MHz band since it's already been sold, and even then, the current laws specify that you're supposed to have a license to broadcast in any frequency anyways. They're "guaranteeing" that all their systems will be legal and functional now and in the future, but we'll see. Sabine and X2 have systems that operate in the 2.4 GHz band so they're "safe" for the time being, and as they say are paving the way as more and more wireless systems will probably start operating in that band. X2 wireless is distributed by Line 6, by the way. No no, the 700 MHz band is being reallocated, current wireless systems operate anywhere from 500 MHz to 900 MHz, so there's still a fair amount of whitespace open in the UHF bands. So if I'm reading the FCC article attached correctly, Sabine, Line6 (Previously X2 Wireless) and like will be the only options for those of us who have no license?
